Opal n Ember currently delivers throughout South Africa. For international shipping requests, customers are encouraged to contact us directly to discuss available options and associated costs.

Processing Times

As all Opal n Ember furniture pieces are custom-made and handcrafted, production times vary depending on the design, materials, and order size.

• Standard custom furniture orders: 4–8 weeks

• Larger or specialized projects: 8–12 weeks

• Customers will receive regular updates regarding the progress of their orders.

Production timelines begin once the order has been confirmed and the required deposit or full payment has been received.

Delivery

Once production is complete, customers will be contacted to arrange a suitable delivery date.

Delivery times may vary depending on the destination:

• Gauteng: 1–3 business days

• Major South African cities: 3–7 business days

• Remote areas: 5–10 business days

Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather conditions, transportation delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Delivery Charges

Shipping and delivery costs are calculated based on:

• Delivery location

• Size and weight of the furniture

• Special handling requirements

Delivery charges will be communicated and agreed upon before the order is finalized.

Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers are requested to inspect their furniture upon delivery. Any visible damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours of receipt by emailing photos and a description of the issue to Opal n Ember.

Failed Deliveries

Customers must ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery at the agreed address. Additional delivery charges may apply if:

• The delivery address provided is incorrect.

• No one is available to receive the order.

• Delivery must be rescheduled due to customer-related reasons.

Ownership and Risk

Ownership of the furniture transfers to the customer once full payment has been received. Risk of loss or damage transfers upon successful delivery and acceptance by the customer.
